My LifeJars is perfect for safely storing all your important records, information & memories - in one secure place. It's super easy to use, so you can keep track of your life's essential documents and easily record your multi-media life story. Plus, if someone you trust needs to step in to help you manage things or take care of your estate, they can find everything quickly and without any hassle.
You use a system of digital "jars" to store documents, memories, photos, voice notes & video clips. It's designed to help you keep track of important information and share your life's stories with chosen family or friends, now in life and parts of it later, as your legacy.
Create a Basic or Gold account from the buttons on the home page, and you can start uploading, organising and protecting your important information and digital content right away.
Absolutely, it’s ideal for securely keeping and categorising documents like wills, insurance policies, and personal notes, as well as storing passwords and other snippets of information. The Jars and Tags feature means you don’t need to figure out a filing system or remember where things are - it’s all organised for you.
Sure, My LifeJars is great for recording memories that combine to make a multi-media life story. You can write text, add photos, voice notes, and videos to really bring your memories alive, almost like creating your own audio book or a mini-movie. This capability sets My LifeJars apart from traditional text-only formats; This isn't just about writing stuff down! However, you can also print everything out if you prefer a physical copy to hold or share. Plus, different versions of your story can be created, allowing you to share with others now and leave a legacy for future generations.
Invite your family and friends to join My LifeJars through your Life Wall. Once they create their profiles, they can join your Tribe and access the content you choose to share. With the Secret Keeper Feature, you can control access to your memories, things, or passwords by setting them as Public, Tribe-specific, or individual Tribesters-only. This content is viewable on their own Life Walls. Anything set to Public can be accessed by future generations.
You can invite trusted individuals to become Guardians with varying levels of access to your Memory Jars, Things Jars, and Password Jars. Set permissions based on what you're comfortable sharing, ensuring you retain control over both your life and legacy profiles. This allows those you designate to step in during emergencies or manage your estate. Guardians also manage the transition of your Life Profile to a Legacy Profile. Additionally, you can be a Guardian for others, helping to manage their profiles - they're referred to as your Wards.

You can choose from Basic and Gold accounts. Basic is free, while Gold offers additional upload limits & storage capacity for a fee which permits voice notes and video content to be stored.
Basic accounts have limits on the number of memories, things, and passwords you can store, with each profile allowing up to 2GB of storage and a maximum file size of 10MB. Gold accounts, however, offer unlimited storage for items and profiles, with a maximum upload size of 500MB and a total storage capacity of 200GB, ideal for curating extensive personal content and life stories.
You can switch between Basic and Gold accounts anytime through the account settings on My LifeJars. Upgrading or downgrading your account type will adjust the features and storage limits according to your new plan. Changes to your subscription will take effect immediately, allowing you to customize your experience to your current needs.
My LifeJars accepts all major credit cards. Payments are processed by a third party via the Stripe payment gateway.
While you cannot pause a Gold subscription, you can downgrade to a Basic account at any time.
Gold accounts require ongoing payments either monthly or annually, but you can switch to a one-time payment for a lifetime Gold account.
Paying once for Gold secures lifetime access to premium features without further payments, extending beyond your lifetime, managed by appointed guardians.
The free Basic account stays active as long as you log in at least once a year. If inactive for three years, we'll reach out to you and your guardians to check if it needs to be transitioned to a Legacy Profile or deleted. If there's no response after our notification, the account will be removed.
Yes, guardians need their own account to manage or access your profile. They can use either a Basic or Gold account for this purpose.
You can close your My LifeJars account through the account settings, which will delete your data. If you have a Gold account, you can request a zipped file of your content before closing. You will be requested to transfer the Guardianship of any Ward Profiles you manage to other My LifeJars users.
After you pass away, your Life Profile will be transitioned to a Legacy Profile by your appointed guardian. My LifeJars recommends appointing at least two guardians to manage your account to ensure seamless management and access continuity.
When transitioning your Life Profile to a Legacy or if you decide to delete your account, you or your Guardians will be asked to transfer the guardianship of any Ward Profiles you manage to other My LifeJars users. This ensures that the care and management of these profiles continue seamlessly.
For Gold account users, you have the option to export your data in a zipped file, allowing you to download and keep a personal copy of all the information you've uploaded to My LifeJars. This feature ensures you maintain access to your content, even if you decide to stop using the service.
If My LifeJars were to shut down, we'd make sure to notify you well in advance. You'd also receive your data in a zipped file format, allowing you to keep all your uploaded content.
