This is not an academic writing class or a novel writing workshop.

There are no classrooms, structured writing classes, grammar lessons or red pens - and we won't be telling anyone what to do!

Arrive, Settle, Begin

Starting a Life Story - The Life Story Writer System & My LIfeJars Vault explained 
7pm - Dinner
A relaxed dinner at the Mill with friendly conversation  including the history of the Mill and it's connected to Charles Dickens.

SATURDAY

Reflect, Create, Explore

From 7am - Breakfast Self-Serve
Toast, eggs, croissants, yogurt, fruit, and hot drinks
8.30am Session 2 - Set-Up
Activating your Life-Jar and setting up your My LifeJars vault and Portal to access Memory Prompts & Resources
Mid-morning Break - Tea/Coffee
11am Session 3 - First Memories
Writing about your childhood with entry points to help access memory
​​​​​​​Saturday 12.30pm - Lunch
Homemade-style soups, fresh rolls and desert
2pm Session 4 - Nature Walk​​​​​​​
Step outside into the stunning surroundings of Litton Mill drawing inspiration from nature to reflect, and reconnect with sense of self, life’s challenges and triumphs.
Tea/coffee available throughout afternoon
4pm Session 5 - Capturing Memories​​​​​​
Learn about easy to use phone apps — start filling your memory jars
6.30pm Pub Dinner​​​​​​​
A gentle  walk or drive to The Anglers Rest, the local pub — good food, great company, and a chance to unwind.

Capture, Edit, Celebrate!

From 7.30am - Breakfast Self-Serve
Toast, eggs, croissants, yogurt, fruit, and hot drinks
9am Session 2 - How to Digitise
A practical session learning how to use equipment to  — scan printed photos, convert old slides VHS tapes, and film reels.
Mid-morning Break - Tea/Coffee
11am Session 9 - Voice notes & video clips​​​​​

Use the equipment to scan or digitise any of the images or videos/film that you brought with you. Record a memory using a simple teleprompter or speak naturally with photos as prompts.

12.30pm - Lunch 
Jacket potatoes with tasty toppings, side salad, and dessert. Come together around the table sharing key insights and takeaways.
2pm - It's a Wrap

Leave inspired, equipped, and ready to keep the Life story growing — one memory at a time.

For two people sharing the same room, both taking part in the retreat writing their Life Story. Includes full access to all sessions, materials and meals.

Accompanying Person - £97
Supplement for someone accompanying a 2 people writing their Life Story staying in the Blincoe room.

Selecting a Retreat 
In Step 2, select the retreat you've chosen and enter the details—including any coupon code and whether it's a gift. If you're giving it as a gift, you can leave the date open so your guest can confirm later.

A £197 Deposit secures a place for 2 or 3 people
Full payment is due two weeks before the retreat. Any coupon code savings will be applied to the final balance.

Payment Plans
Payment plans are available for the remaining balance, depending on how much time is left before the selected retreat.
